You may never experience an in-flight emergency, but if you do, preparing for that moment now will boost your chances of living to fly another day. In this session, we’ll discuss some physics, some personal experiences, some techniques for survival, and even some advice for preventing emergencies from happening in the first place. Participants will leave the session better prepared to act appropriately in the event of an in-flight emergency.

Instructor Bio

Stan Rose is the president of Helicopter Safety Alliance, a company that provides safety seminars and other services for the pilots, maintainers, and managers of small helicopter operations. Stan has been involved in the helicopter industry for 50 years and has served in numerous positions, including director of safety outreach for HAI. He has been a pilot, a program director for air medical operations, and a business development specialist. He has also worked on several overseas projects in both maintenance and operations roles.
