This course will cover reporting wildlife strikes and the importance of reporting strikes for the aviation community. We will discuss wildlife management, including regulations, practices, and how to find assistance.

Instructor Bio

Phyllis Rose Miller has been employed with the US Department of Agriculture for 16 years and currently serves as manager of the FAA National Wildlife Strike Database. The Database houses over 265,000 quality-controlled civilian wildlife strikes to aircraft. Her love of aviation started on a rural farm in Pennsylvania that had a grass runway and served as an aircraft layover point for many helicopters and fixed-wing planes over the decades.
