This course will cover reporting wildlife strikes and its importance to the aviation community. We’ll also discuss wildlife management, including regulations, practices, and how to find assistance.

Instructor Bio

Phyllis Rose Miller has been with the US Department of Agriculture for 16 years and currently serves as manager of the FAA National Wildlife Strike Database, which houses over 265,000 quality-controlled civilian wildlife strikes to aircraft. Her love of aviation started on a rural farm in Pennsylvania that had a grass runway and functioned as an aircraft layover point for many helicopters and airplanes over the decades.
