Dietary Supplements and Their Direct and Indirect, Expected, and Unexpected Effects on Air Ops
Rotor Safety Challenge (RSC)
Tracks: Maintenance, Operations, Pilot, Safety
Instructor: Dudley Crosson, Delta P Inc.
The public is aware of very little regarding the negative impact that dietary supplements ranging from vitamins to energy drinks can have on air operations. This session will discuss the idiosyncrasies and synergistic effects of supplements on such things as diet, medications, and more. Individual responses to supplements vary. Some supplements might cause only a minor irritation in some people and a more profound effect in others. This session will provide important information about what to consider when taking dietary supplements.
