This course will assist executives, managers, and supervisors of helicopter operations with the important task of exercising leadership. Attendees will learn important leadership concepts and approaches for being a role model, empowering personnel, building effective teams, promoting the exchange of information, and making sound decisions that result in goal achievement and the promotion of corporate objectives.

Learning Objective: By the conclusion of the course, attendees will have learned the knowledge and leadership skills necessary to make sound decisions, implement appropriate leadership styles and strategies, mentor employees, identify and build effective teams, and manage their time efficiently.

Instructor Bio

Daniel Prather is a professor in the Aviation Science Department at California Baptist University, where he teaches aviation management courses such as “Business Aviation Management,” “Airport Management,” and “FBO Management.” He is an instrument-rated private pilot (SEL) with plans to pursue his helicopter private pilot certificate. Daniel has authored two textbooks, Airport Management and FBO Management. He holds a PhD in educational leadership, a master’s degree in public administration, and a bachelor’s degree in commercial aviation.
