When your company is involved in an accident, do you have a plan to support injured customers, address the needs of family members, and assist your employees? What support will you provide? What will your insurance cover? This session will highlight critical family assistance operations and concepts. Attendees will gain an understanding of the NTSB’s operating authority and family assistance operations model, learn the four primary concerns of family members in the aftermath of a major transportation accident, and gain a heightened awareness of US federal family assistance legislation.

Instructor Bio

Max Green is an emergency operations coordinator for the NTSB. He has more than 23 years of emergency management experience. In his 12-year tenure with the NTSB, he has deployed to 45 accidents in 22 states involving five modes of transportation (aviation, rail, highway, marine, and pipeline), where he has served as the organization’s primary representative responsible for coordinating family assistance operations.
