Rotor Safety Challenge Course (RSC)
Instructor: Jason Quisling, Air Methods Corp.
Price: This course is free to anyone attending HAI HELI-EXPO

Inadvertent entry into instrument meteorological conditions (IIMC) is a major factor in fatal accidents for all rotorcraft sectors. While it’s a serious threat that must be respected, the good news is we can make a difference in preventing it. This session will include an overview of historical trends and risks associated with IIMC and how IIMC has been mitigated in helicopter air ambulance operations. We’ll also cover strategies and techniques designed to increase the chances of surviving an IIMC encounter, including preflight planning and standard operating procedures.
