This course is designed for both newly assigned and experienced aviation safety officers (ASOs). Focused on the skills and knowledge ASOs require for effective performance, the course covers all aspects of successfully implementing a safety management system (SMS), including the duties and responsibilities of the ASO, regulatory matters, and preliminary accident investigations.

Instructor Bio
Dudley Crosson, president of Delta P, is an aeromedical safety officer (an aerospace physiologist who is also a qualified aviation safety officer) and the aeromedical liaison for the Airborne Public Safety Association. With a strong focus on operations rather than research, Dudley provides aeromedical safety support in areas such as aviation life-support equipment, fatigue, spatial disorientation, stress, night-vision goggles, and other physiological issues. He holds a doctorate in diving physiology and a master’s degree in exercise physiology.
