This course introduces the highly visual Bowtie Method of analyzing and controlling risk associated with operational hazards. With the Bowtie Method, risk is broken down into its various components, allowing users to identify threats and consequences and the appropriate controls to mitigate risks to the organization, its people, and assets.

Instructor Bio

Gerald Kosbab, president of AeroDirections, consults with and teaches for aviation organizations globally on the subjects of safety and quality management systems and risk management. He has a passion for aviation safety stemming from the loss of too many skilled friends and colleagues in preventable aviation accidents. Through his work with both fixed- and rotary-wing operators and maintenance organizations, Gerald applies creative tools and techniques to the analysis and mitigation of operational risks.
