This session will separate the myths and legends from the reality of accident investigation, including first-hand descriptions of accident investigations from OEM investigators.

Instructor Bio

Chris Lowenstein has been employed by Sikorsky for 37 years, starting as a mechanical test engineer testing helicopter mechanical systems. He transferred to aviation and product safety in 1993, as a system safety engineer. He became an aircraft safety investigator in 1996 and chief of aviation safety investigation in 2000. Chris was appointed manager–fleet safety in 2014, promoted to senior manager–fleet safety in 2017, and designated a Lockheed Martin Fellow in 2021.
