This seminar presents techniques to counteract the hazards and risks of helicopter operations in the height-velocity diagram (and difficult environments such as mountains, high altitudes, and night operations. Participants will learn how to use Vuichard procedures and techniques in the daily duties of single-pilot operations to minimize risks. High-resolution video will illustrate the theoretical principles presented.
Learning Objectives: By the conclusion of the course, participants will have learned:
- The fundamentals of operations in the HVD and aircraft performance in difficult environments
- How to increase safety in single-pilot helicopter operations
- How to use the Vuichard Recovery Techniques to reduce accidents and incidents.

Claude Vuichard is a pioneer in the aviation industry, with more than 16,000 hours of flight experience and 15 different type ratings. He served as a high-altitude rescue pilot for Air Zermatt, flew presidential aircraft and search-and-rescue missions on behalf of the Swiss government for many years, and served as a civil aviation flight inspector for the Swiss civil aviation authority. Claude is the creator of the Vuichard Recovery Techniques, including Vortex Ring State Recovery, and is president of the Vuichard Recovery Aviation Safety Foundation.
Charly Graf has more than 25 years of professional experience in sales, marketing, information technology, and human resources management. He is the creator of the job broker platform bluecoonsgroup.com and holds a commercial helicopter pilot license with instrument rating. Charly has flying experience in Robinson, Airbus, and Bell helicopters in the United States and Switzerland.
