This session is designed to assist pilots and others at landing zones, airports, and airfields to work toward creating a safer operating environment. We’ll review the importance for everyone who flies of reporting wildlife strikes and the correct process for doing so. We’ll also discuss wildlife management, including regulations, practices, and how to find assistance.

Instructor Bio

Phyllis Rose Miller is manager of the FAA Wildlife Strike Database, for whom she has worked since November 2007. Her aviation background spans many decades and includes having been raised in a fixed-wing and helicopter family. Her husband and several family members are active pilots.
